A little help.
Questions, a link that won’t save, or something that doesn’t look right? Email support@latentape.com. Support is provided by Latent Ape LLC, the company behind Bookmarqer.
Help us help you
Tell us what you were trying to do, what happened, and whether you were using the website, Chrome extension, or iOS app. Include the exact error message, your browser or iOS version, and the approximate time it happened. A screenshot can help—hide anything private first.
If it’s an account issue, include the email address you use to sign in. If one link is failing, include its URL only if you’re comfortable sharing it. Please don’t send passwords, sign-in codes, authentication tokens, or sensitive page content.
Saving a link
- On the web: open your library, choose Save a link, and paste the URL.
- In Chrome: pin Bookmarqer to the toolbar and click it while viewing a webpage. If you’re signed out, it will open sign-in. You can also right-click a link and choose Save to Bookmarqer. A checkmark confirms the save.
- On iOS: sign in to the Bookmarqer app, then share a webpage to Save to Bookmarqer from the share sheet. If it isn’t listed, look under More in the share sheet. You can also use the + button inside the app.
Chrome’s internal pages, such as chrome:// pages, can’t be saved like ordinary web articles. If a page’s text can’t be extracted, the link may still save successfully.
Sign-in or a missing bookmark
Check that you’re using the same account in the extension, website, and iOS app. Refresh your library and look in All links or Inbox; an automatically organized link may be in a different project than you expected. If sign-in has expired, sign in again and retry the save.
For extension connection problems, right-click the Bookmarqer toolbar icon and open Options to see the last save result or sign in again. Normal saving doesn’t require opening Options.
Summaries and automatic organization
AI processing is optional. Open Settings & connections on the web, or AI sharing in the iOS account menu, to review your choice. Without permission, links still save, but new AI summaries and categorization won’t run.
Processing happens in the background. If a summary fails, open the saved link’s details on the web and choose Reprocess. Some source pages require a login, block automated retrieval, or are no longer available. Selecting relevant text before saving from Chrome can give Bookmarqer more context, but doesn’t guarantee retrieval.
Weekly project recaps
If a recap hasn’t arrived, check spam or junk and review Weekly recap in Settings. Project-specific recipients are configured separately in each project’s settings. If you still need help, email us with the account or recipient address and the week you expected to receive.
Public profiles and Following
Open Following on the web or the Following tab in iOS to see links from people and projects you follow. Enter an @username to find a public profile. You can follow all of someone’s public projects or just one project.
Publishing is optional: use Settings on the web to choose a username, make your profile public, and publish individual projects. Public projects include their current and future link titles and URLs, including automatically assigned links. Making your profile private hides its projects and resets them to private.
Reporting, blocking, and public-content review
Signed-in users can choose Report / block on a public profile or saved link on the web or in iOS. Choose a reason and submit a report for review. Reports are not shown to the reported person. To unblock someone, open Blocked users in Following (also available in web sharing settings).
Blocking hides a person’s content while you are signed in and removes follows in both directions. It does not make public content inaccessible to signed-out visitors. Unblocking does not restore follows.
Public profiles, project names and links require manual approval before appearing publicly. Changes to public names, link titles or URLs, or moving a link to another project, require another review. Private saving and optional AI processing continue independently. If content is hidden by a moderator, editing it does not restore publication. Contact support@latentape.com to ask about a review or appeal a decision.
Age eligibility and parents
Bookmarqer accounts are for people 13 and older. Following others and viewing public social feeds require 18+. Ordinary signup and personal bookmarking do not ask for a birthday or an age confirmation.
If you believe an account belongs to a child under 13, email support@latentape.com. Include the account email or username if known and a brief explanation. Do not send identity documents, passwords, sign-in codes, or the child’s saved content. We will investigate and take steps to stop collection and delete personal information for confirmed under-13 accounts.
Privacy, account deletion, and reporting a problem
You can start account deletion from web Settings or the iOS account menu. See account deletion instructions for details, or email us if you can’t sign in. Uninstalling the extension or app does not delete your account.
For privacy questions, suspected security issues, or inappropriate public content, email support@latentape.com. For a public-content report, include the profile or project URL and a brief explanation.
